KALAMAZOO, MICHIGAN – NOVEMBER 7, 2024 – Kalamazoo, MI — Honor Credit Union is proud to sponsor the Kalamazoo Wings Military Appreciation Game on Sunday, November 10th, at 3 PM, honoring the sacrifices and service of our nation’s military. The K-Wings will take the ice at Wings Event Center for this special event as part of their 50th anniversary season, a celebration made even more meaningful through the opportunity to recognize and give back to our veterans.
In anticipation of the game, Honor Credit Union held a ticket giveaway. They invited veterans to enter for the chance to attend the game. 25 veterans were selected at random to receive complimentary tickets, offering them an afternoon of camaraderie and excitement in honor of their service. This effort reflects Honor’s commitment to supporting and showing appreciation for our military personnel and veterans.
Tickets are still available for the game, and Honor Credit Union encourages hockey fans and community members alike to join in the celebration. It’s an opportunity to show gratitude to the brave individuals who have served and sacrificed for our country while cheering on the K-Wings as they hit the ice.
“We’re honored to partner with the K-Wings for Military Appreciation Night. It’s a small way we can recognize the incredible contributions of our service members, and we’re thrilled to have veterans joining us at the game,” said Thomas Hatfield, Community Development Officer at Honor Credit Union. “We look forward to a great game and a chance to unite as a community to show our appreciation.”
Honor believes that communities are strengthened by the service and sacrifices of the men and women in uniform, and they are deeply honored to give back to these individuals whose dedication has safeguarded the freedoms everyone enjoys. Partnering with the Kalamazoo Wings for the Military Appreciation Game, Honor Credit Union is thrilled to host a special night that brings veterans together, celebrating their contributions and recognizing their impact on our community. This event provides an opportunity for the community to unite in honoring those who have served, standing together in appreciation of their courage, resilience, and unwavering commitment to the nation.
