KALAMAZOO, MICHIGAN – AUGUST 27, 2024– Honor Credit Union is proud to announce the internal promotion of Kimberly Nower to Portage Member Center manager.
Kimberly attended Western Michigan University (WMU), where she studied Business Management. She began her career in the financial industry as a teller while attending WMU. After graduating, she accumulated over a decade of diverse experience in Kalamazoo’s banking industry, encompassing trust and mutual funds, retail, and customer service roles. Most recently, she served as Honor’s Community Development Officer for the Allegan, Kalamazoo, and Plainwell regions.
In her new role as manager of the Portage Member Center, Kimberly expressed her enthusiasm about reconnecting with former colleagues and clients and promoting the benefits of credit union membership. She shared, “I am excited to return to the Portage community, where I have worked for over 10 years with various financial institutions. My passion for helping people drives me, and I’m eager to meet and serve our Portage members.”
Kimberly grew up in St. Joe and has since lived in Detroit, Cleveland, Chicago, and Grand Rapids before moving to Kalamazoo to be near her family, including her two nieces, as well as her brother and his family, whom are her pride and joy. A dedicated pet lover, Kimberly is looking forward to her new role and the opportunity to make a positive impact in the Portage community.
