About Reward Points

Yes! Both of our checking accounts give you access to over 35,000 surcharge-free ATMs across the country. As an added bonus, our Benefits Checking account pays you up to $20 each month in surcharge reimbursements if you use an ATM that is not in our network.
Leaving The Country?
No problem.
- Simply give us a heads up before you leave by calling us at 800.442.2800 or stop by a local Honor branch so we know to expect transactions from your destination.
- Beware of blocked and sanctioned countries. The Office of Foreign Asset Control (OFAC) of the US Department of Treasury has a current list of those countries. If the country you are visiting is on this list, ALL card activity will be blocked per the requirement from OFAC. On occasion, Honor Credit Union may block countries in addition to those listed on the OFAC list, but should there be additional countries, they would be listed here.
- While debit and credit cards are accepted in most countries, MasterCard charges foreign currency conversion fees for purchases made with their credit and debit cards, in addition to ATM cash withdrawal fees.
No! Honor Credit Union doesn’t charge per-check fees for either checking account.

Deluxe Website
You can reorder checks by visiting the Deluxe website.
In Person
You can stop by any local member center and speak with an Honor team member to order more checks.
Effective November 1st, 2024, Connect Checking now features 1% cash back, earning 1 reward point for every $1 spent only on the following spend categories:
- Gas
- Groceries
- Dining out
Qualifying purchases include transactions at Grocery Stores, Supermarkets, Restaurants, Fast Food, Drinking Places, Discount Stores, Variety Stores, Wholesale Clubs, Pharmacies, and Gas Stations (including EV charging stations). Gambling and other transactions do not qualify. Click here for a full list of MCC (merchant category) codes.
There are no minimum balance or service fees associated with the Connect Checking, however NSF and Courtesy Pay fees will still apply.
Yes, members must qualify for the checking account. If the member already has a credit pull on file newer than 90 days or an active checking account in good standing (with Courtesy Pay), then a new credit pull could be avoided.
Yes, members can have multiple Connect checking accounts.
Yes, a new debit card will be needed.
Our system is designed to give points based on the qualifying spend categories, but if for some reason it does not pay out the points at month end, feel free to contact us at 800.442.2800 or stop into their local member center.
You can redeem these points through UChoose by setting up your card.
Points do not expire.
Yes, members can have both types of accounts.
You won’t toggle between the cards, bonus points will show as combined in UChoose if both a credit and debit card are held.
Bonus points can be redeemed through our uChoose Rewards program found on the Honor CU mobile app or Online Banking:
- Once logged in to the Honor CU app, click Accounts in the bottom of the screen
- Scroll down -> click on your Select Rewards Credit Card or Connect Checking
- Click Redeem uChoose Rewards
- If the member has not registered their card, please click Register

- Choose Link Account
- Enter the 16 digit card number
*APY = Annual Percentage Yield. Rates accurate as of 11/1/24, $25 minimum deposit required to open. Account earns 0.00% APY. Members earn 1 reward point per every $1 spent on qualifying net debit card purchase transactions (purchases minus returns/credits) posted to their Connect Checking accounts as signature-based or PIN-based point of sale (POS) debit transactions (PIN-based ATM transactions not eligible; please note that Honor posts transactions based on how they are received from merchants). Qualifying purchase transactions are defined as those retailers whose Mastercard Merchant Category Codes (MCC) are classified as follows: Grocery Stores, Supermarkets, Restaurants, Fast Food, Drinking Places, Discount Stores, Variety Stores, Wholesale Clubs, Pharmacies, and Gasoline (gas stations, EV charging stations). All other debit card transactions will not accrue reward points. Account holders are advised to refer to the uChoose Rewards program terms for comprehensive details on point redemption, limitations, expiration, and other pertinent information. **APY = Annual Percentage Yield, 0.00% APY. $250 paid when new or existing member without a current checking account opens a personal checking account with a minimum opening deposit of $25, sets up qualifying direct deposit(s) totaling $500 or more and conducts 8+ debit card transactions all within 60 days of account opening. A qualifying direct deposit is defined as one from a recurring paycheck, pension, or government benefits (such as social security) payments only. Non-payroll related ACH, person-to-person payments and transfers from other financial institutions or other Honor CU accounts do not qualify. Bonus will be paid within 30 days of minimum requirements being met. New account must remain open and maintain a positive balance for at least 90 days. If criteria is not met, $250 bonus will be withdrawn from account. New members must open account at honorcu.com/bonus/ or a local member center location. Existing members must open new checking account at member center location, phone, or video appointment, and specifically mention the $250 offer at time of opening. Existing members that have closed a checking account at Honor in last five years, not eligible. Offer subject to change without notice.
